The widow’s son
One day Jesus and his disciples went to a town named Nain.
A large crowed was with him. At the gate of the town they met a burial
procession. The only son of a widow had died. When the lord Jesus saw the
weeping mother, he felt very sad.
He said to her, “Don’t cry.” Then he walked over and
touched the stretcher. The men carrying it stopped. Jesus said. “Son, get up!”
The dead man sat up and began to talk. Jesus gave him back to his mother.
The people were amazed and praised God. They said, “A
great man of God is here! God has come to help his people!”
This news about Jesus spread through all the country and
nearby places.
